Sloppiness.

Tears of regret.
“Of all the words of mice and men, the saddest are, "It might have been.” Kurt Vonnegut
We live a life in which we deal different set of minds popping to us like people. We come to know some dearly and some just to pass time with. This structure is aged and everyone ensuing it blindly and though it will be as it is now. No one is going to amend it. Sometimes our mood go upset and sadden, reminiscing the wrong deeds we did in past, no actually the deeds we did in past for wrong people and now they just seem to you as nothing, but Regret. Regret. We all did this in our lives once or more than that on anything. From preferring a bad color to paint your room, putting more salt in a dish, answered any question you know by heart wrong just because others convinced you to choosing a wrong person for your friend list or a wrong life partner. Believe it or not, we all did and they are more same as we find them out lately.
Life is an ongoing process that you or anyone can not stop or pause and picking out people in this process is also unending, but what we have to do is be more careful when selecting the same. Nevertheless even then we choose wrong people. Take it as a challenge and try it once. You’ll get nothing, but the same outcome mentioned here. Digging an answer for this problem took me nowhere than in myself. Yes! Believing in your subsistence, trust on your personality and having a brave heart, but within the line of self-esteem or self-worth. Being proud, arrogant and conceited mortal results in the above mentioned statement by many not considering their margins and boundaries that may lead to the end of relationships, friendships and marriages. Regretting is an automatic reason that you can’t change, but what you have to do is learn from your wrongdoings, your mistakes and the moments that go in vain. It’s better to get a clear view of what you are doing and holding in common because there are different set of minds linked to you. Live a life of good way with a pinch of regrets, but not a life of fun with full of regrets.

“Get correct views of life, and learn to see the world in its true light. It will enable you to live pleasantly, to do well, and, when summoned away, to leave without regret." Robert E. Lee

A Red Coat.

“I was brought by Ollie this afternoon and she picked me out above my differently designed cousins. She was happy all the way wearing me and is now contentedly sleeping. I’m laying here on this chair and waiting to event my upcoming life with her and her family or friends. She wore me in the college today, Greg and Norah liked me too. There’s a family gathering tonight at her grandma’s place, she is wearing me tonight. Everyone is enjoying a lot, but Ray (Ollie’s first cousin) is looking upset and disturbed. Ollie thought to ask him after dinner. Ray told her about his breakup. Ollie hugged him dearly. Some of Ray’s tears fall over me. I feel sorry for him now. Ollie was worried the day for Ray’s condition, she told the prospect to her mother while I was hanging at a side. He called Ollie tonight and asked her out. She agreed and was quite anxious of her clothes. She again picked me up over any of her upper. I am delighted. She loves me greatly now. Ray adored me whilst I also helped Ollie’s clothes not to get a stain when unknowingly Ray hit the coffee cup while kissing her tonight returning from the theater. They are a couple now. I love that my Ollie is not alone anymore and Ray loves him with whole heart. As days passing now I feel tarnished and old. Ray’s car was at a workshop so he called Ollie to come by herself to CafĂ© Apollo at the down street. They enjoyed a lot and ate couple of different things. I love chicken steak and Ollie ordered one. She tossed a bit on me as she wants me to eat with her too. They were returning drunk at midnight and opted a shortcut to Ollie’s house. This street is not so safe for a girl to pass as there exist some rogue and witty guys. They were moving hand in hand when a group of boys surrounded them and tried to rob them whole handed. They gave everything they have had, but one of the boy was full of lust and yearn, ordered the other boys to hold Ray tightly as he have intend to rape Ollie, but I tried my best not to uncover her body and held her tightly within my grip. They tore me from places, but left as Ray escaped and beat them all. Ollie kissed him pleasantly for saving her life and got some tears that rolled down over me and made me a bit sad. She told everything to her mom and dad in her room setting an eye on me as I was also her partner during her good or bad times. After a few days, Ollie’s mom asked her to hurl me away as I’m no more in a favorable condition to dress in. I was so worried and upset thinking of going away from Ollie, but her denial to her mom rejoiced and cherished me that anyone can see from my glowing and blushing red color. I’m now relaxing in her drawer as she got a new green coat and I’m old enough be called super red coat. Wait! What is Ollie doing? Why is she rearranging her drawer today after 3 years? And where is she going to put me? No! No Ollie! I love you so much, helped you, cried with you, cheered with you and saved you. You loved me a lot then why are you putting me in the trunk?
It’s been an era I’m relaxing here alone in the trunk with some other stuff, but not even in once Ollie bother to see me. I miss her much, but maybe that green coat is now loving her deeply or more than me. What I want is her happiness.”
If you have read my story, do tell Ollie that I love her much till now. Come someday to visit me along with Ray.
With Love,
“Red coat”

From the author,
Relating this coat’s story with your life is definitely my point of view. We make friends in our life. Some left us, we left some, but there’s always someone somewhere who always loves you dearly maybe you never know maybe s/he never show. So what important is? Love everyone and revisit everyone so that they can’t feel alone or unaccompanied.

P.S I deliberately put so many full stops in this post.

Azaan.

Hayya Alla Khair-il-Amal
“Bismillah-ar-Rehman Arraheem- Alhamdulilah Rabbil Alaamen..”
“Bismillah-ar-Rehman Arraheem- Alhamdulilah Rabbil Alaameen Arrehmaan..”
“Bismillah-ar-Rehman Arraheem- Alhamdulilah Rabbil Alaameen Arrehmaan..”, after trying reciting Quran Majeed continuously at last Bilal gave up. At this age of life, reciting Quran is this hard, he never knew, but now when this is happening he couldn’t stop himself repenting his past and crying over his fate, but wait his eyelashes are all dry. He can not even cry. His soul, his existence has departed his body.

It was 1982 Mrs. Ahmed Kaleem received her ultrasound reports with a say of all to hear that a baby boy coming their way soon. She told this good news to Mr. Ahmed Kaleem, they both were very excited and agitated managing a baby at this period of their age. In Ramadan, she delivered him and they named the babyBilal Ahmed”. Mr.& Mrs. Ahmed Kaleem were repute personalities of upper class. Everyone greeted them gladly. They organised quite gigantic welcome party and invited almost everyone they know. Mrs. Kaleem due to some hormonal troubles and disturbance at the age of 2 left Bilal in the midst of his journey of sustenance. This was the beginning of a period that he passed without motherhood and another thing that he acknowledged lately in his life. Mr. Ahmed arranged various maids for him and he started growing up in a disturbed ambiance that left many perforations in his personality. Bilal was now 14 and Aminah was almost his age who live next door. She along with her family was recently shifted from Saudi Arabia to Pakistan. She nurtured in an Islamic atmosphere and she was a strict follower of religion at this age. She doesn’t like to keep friendship with any boy or involve in any nonreligious activity. From a very small age she started taking veil and prays five times a day. Whereas, Bilal didn’t even know about what Islam and religion is. Beliefs and precautions were distant. Even being a Muslim, he doesn’t know how to read Quran.
Aminah got admission in the same school where Bilal was studying and coincidentally in the same class. She usually speaks less and don’t make an effort to make friends easily. It was class 9th, Bilal and Aminah took part in the annual debate competition on a topic they both proficient at. This was the beginning of the hassle between them that aroused on the rostrum and went way far than that. Aminah got the 1st position and Bilal was a runner-up at the competition that drew Bilal’s attention towards her. Bilal was a winning and a reputed boy in academic or co-curricular activities at his school, but after this defeat he was annoyed and furious to let Aminah’s image down by any means. Aminah was unaware of his intentions so she carried her routine actions.

Bilal along with a group of boys surrounded Aminah's desk in the break time when she was preparing for a test in the class. Bilal threatened her of his intent to drag her down by any chance. Aminah took his allusions petty. Taking positions in class tests to class representative, being head of student council drawing Bilal down in election campaign till getting highest percentage in mock exams did not let Bilal's intimations occurring in real. Aminah unknowingly made herself the target of Bilal's abhorrence and hatred. Now Bilal has to prove his superiority over Aminah by any means in the board exams along with some bogus exploits. He along with preparing himself for the exams made it sickened for Aminah to study properly by setting up a false romantic and ardour affair paying a boy to work for him and in the end predictable outcome achieved. He stumped Aminah's mind at a level that she secured "B" grade in 9th's board exams and shameful moment when her fake affair rumours gust in the air of school and neighbourhood that lead her psychological circumstances rage and wrath. She lastly opted keeping her existence in a shell and not to engross much in every day dealings and associations that Bilal already discerned, but nonetheless long for more embarrassment and humiliation for her. She was uninformed of Bilal's hate for her, but likely to forgive the one who is behind the curtain generating all discomfort and uneasiness in her life. The last year at school did not go anyhow in a good way and Bilal kept on smearing and executing spurious tactics and it all ended worsen and inflamed when Aminah again achieved 1st position in last semester that boiled Bilal's blood and he finally did something fallacious. School was about to end lately in the same month, Bilal was sitting along with a group of friends in a free period in the playground when Aminah was passing by reading some book unaware of their intent. Bilal stood up, so with other boys and turned swiftly to her and said, "What do you think of yourself bitch? You keep on dragging my reputation down and achieve all grades and positions that belong to me being a bright student here and I won't do anything against you? You wear this veil and talk about religion all the time just to gather attention of others where you in truth is a hypocrite and a charlatan! You slut! A stinky creepy creature filled with conceit and arrogance you don't deserve this covering over your head," and grabbed her scarf from her head, tossed it on the ground and chafed it with his shoe. While Aminah set eyes on his face imagining her subsistence in public without veil so she ran away crying and weeping dreadfully. Bilal warned everyone not to repeat a word about this incident. Everyone endeavoured to tranquillise Bilal's rage and jeopardise of his unethical act, but he did not listen to anybody. School ended and after board exams Aminah and her family due to the shame and insult shifted to some other country and Bilal went abroad for further studies.

Bilal was a handsome and striking being and with no trouble attuned him in a foreign environment. He became famous for his intelligence and aptitude shortly in the college. Thereon he never seen alone and wandering, but always surrounded by a bunch of friends mostly girls. He started drinking wine and beer attending discos and dancing clubs with a cigarette in a hand and a girl on other. Time passed by and he grew up in this atmosphere where religion was just to explain his identity on passport while revisiting his hometown. By the end of 2004 he graduated from the university and picked to join Mr. Ahmed Kaleem’s business. He returned to Pakistan parting all his crushes and girl friend, but not the routine of drinking, smoking and going to dance clubs. In August 2006, Mr. Ahmed Kaleem asked him to get married as he’s 24 by now as he did not want to succeed more without a relief of being inherited later on. Bilal agreed to his proposal and asked him to select any girl he wants, as he was not good at choosing someone for long. In February, Mr. Ahmed called Bilal to his office, showing him a girl’s picture that was his client Mr. Ibrahim’s daughter and graduated from a foreign university with 1st position. He agreed and on the wedding day, Mr. Ahmed told him that the girl does veil, but Bilal did not excavate upon this matter and consented without making any trouble. He was a bit shocked and stunned as the Qari pronounced “Aminah Ibrahim binte Ibrahim Masood”. Bilal recalled every past incident that happened in school, but was not ashamed of anything he did. Aminah was quite familiar with the person she was getting married with, but has no concern about the former time. Bilal was an outgoing being, where resting inside the house and involving in homely affairs were Aminah’s first priority. Bilal did not enforce anything on her as a repentance deed of his wrongdoings, but Aminah has already forgave him when she comes into Bilal’s nikah. They were living distinct lives with no interference and interruptions. In a short period after their marriage Mr. Ahmed Kaleem expired after detecting blood cancer. On his death, Bilal was quite upset and observed Aminah’s concerns for his late father. She arranged Soyam and Quran Khuwani for him and found distributing food among the orphans and needy everyday. She lightens Agarbatti before maghrib, recite Quran Majeed and sometimes found weeping while performing namaz when Bilal returns from office. They don not talk to each other much, but both have noticed some internal alteration about each other. One day when he returned from office and saw Aminah crying on Jaa-e-Namaz, he asked her “What makes you cry while praying? And why you lighten this smelling thing at this time?” She replied, “Fear of God makes me cry. I usually cry for the departed soul of abbu and please forgiveness for him. I light these smelling things Agarbatti, to fill the air with soothe and delight leaving the grief of departed away.” He moved off unquestioned further.

Aminah got pregnant in June 2007, she denied for an ultra sound and started taking care of herself more than before. Bilal was so enthused and happy. He still remarked Aminah reciting various Arabic things and being more cautious in attending any gatherings or weddings. She delivered a baby boy in January 2008; on Aminah’s appeal they named him Azaan Ahmed. Bilal was astound and cheery taking him on his hands, Aminah asked him to narrate Azaan in baby’s ears since to withhold the fact of his denial and disowning of religion he requested Mr. Ibrahim to do this. Mr. Ibrahim recited Azaan in the baby’s ears and in few days she was discharged from the hospital. In the mean time, Bilal felt some conversion in his subsistence. Later on Bilal gifted a diamond ring to Aminah on delighting him with this wonderful angel. Steadily they started taking relevance into each others matter. Time passes by with Azaan’s nourishment, not in an Islamic society, but quite religious environment provided by his mother. Aminah insisted Bilal to admit Azaan in an Islamic school and he agreed. It was Ramadan when Aminah woke up for Sehri and as now everything in between them was comforted, she asked Bilal if he keep fast or not, he denied. Afterward while moving to his office he felt some inner wrench of his guilt denying keeping fast, he did not eat anything the entire day. Day by day Bilal felt his soul grasping in guiltiness. Islam, his religion was blaming his soul for his dissent. He tried being normal and to fill this cavity with worldly desires, but nothing helped. Azaan grew up and started keeping fast and praying five times a day. Bilal started feeling some internal twinge that his existence failed to bear when he saw Azaan practicing Islamic teachings, just as Aminah do. He was mentally disturbed and bothered by guilt. He quit going to dance clubs, attending parties and drinking wine or beer. Bilal cutback himself from a group of people he know, who in real relates to this custom. Aminah observed some psychological pressure on Bilal’s being and health. A fact confounded Azaan that his mother does practice Islam, but he never saw his father even reciting a surah. Bilal under psychiatrist’s consult took bed rest for several weeks. A night, Aminah asked him about his health and sickness, but he refused to tell his inner situation. She did not insist much, but Azaan wanted to know about his concern to his father of not practicing religion.

Once after Isha prayers, Aminah went to kitchen instructing cook about the dinner where Bilal was watching some news channel on television relaxing on couch. Azaan after completing Namaz, came in the TV lounge wandering. Bilal asked his prince to come and sit with him. He came and lie on Bilal’s lap cheery. All of a sudden, Azaan stood up and went inside the Namaz room revisiting TV lounge with a siparah in his hand. He came across the table and sat next to Bilal requesting him to recite Surah- Al Fateha written in siparah. Bilal started reading,
“Bismillah-ar-Rehman Arraheem- Alhamdulilah Rabbil Alaamen..”
“Bismillah-ar-Rehman Arraheem- Alhamdulilah Rabbil Alaameen Arrehmaan..”
“Bismillah-ar-Rehman Arraheem- Alhamdulilah Rabbil Alaameen Arrehmaan..”, after continuous try reciting siparah at last Bilal gave up. At this age of life, reciting Quran is this hard, he never knew, but now when this is happening he couldn’t stop himself repenting his past and crying over his fate, but wait his eyelashes are all dry. He can not even cry. His soul, his existence has departed his body. Azaan gazed at Bilal’s face, he felt his father is trying to weep, but he’s unable to pull off. Azaan asked childishly, “Papa! You don’t know how to read this? I will tell you, but please you don’t cry” laying a hand on his slight wet eyelashes. Bilal cuddled his son with repentance and regret of his past sins. Aminah was watching all this standing by the door, she hurriedly moved to the couch and sat on floor tapping Azaan’s back and Bilal’s lap. Bilal weeping holds Aminah’s hands and began asking for her forgiveness. He told that he is the one who paid a boy in school putting her reputation down by those bogus affair rumours and every stupid thing that happened with her in those two years, he is the one behind and the culprit. He held her hands and started hitting on his face. She stopped him doing this, she asked him that she had already forgiven him and there’s no good in recalling past incidents. She further said, “I come to know about you deeply from the same day you threatened me of your bad intentions. I know ammi left you long ago and abbu along with his business did not teach you much about religion and that is the only cavity left in your personality, but that is not a thing to worry Bilal whatever you did in your past you are ashamed of it and now you regret all your wrongdoings. Allah (swt) is the superior and He is the forgiving one, ask Him for forgiveness not me.” Azaan was viewing all this with a heavy heart and started sobbing in between. Bilal clinched Azaan and Aminah firmly and Azaan stopped crying. He asked Bilal to recite Surah Fateha with him. Azaan started narrating and Bilal repeating his words.

Years passed by and one day Azaan entered from the main door yelling “Mamma! Mamma! I’ve made it. I achieved 1st position in naat competition” Aminah cuddled him with glee. Where Bilal appeared from behind embracing Azaan happily and asked him to come along to bow to Allah thanking for this achievement.
